Bali wouldn’t be complete without visiting the island’s most famous temples, and our fave for ultimate wow-factor is Pura Lempuyang – the oldest Hindu temple in Bali. Known as the “Gateway to Heaven”, this temple is perched on top of Mount Lempuyang in Karangasem, with a succession of seven ascending temples along the mountain side.

Other stunning temple destinations around Bali include Tanah Lot’s ocean temple, or Pura Luhur Uluwatu which sits high up on a cliff-face overlooking Uluwatu’s famous surf breaks.
