Overview

Ladakh, sometimes known as the "Land of High Passes," is
a desolate but stunning area in the state of Jammu and Kashmir
in northern India. Ladakh has the Kashmir valley to its west,
Lahaul and Spiti to its south, and a shared east border with Tibet.

Leh and Kargil are the two districts that makeup Ladakh. The old community
has "Leh," a well-known town. Beautiful monasteries nearby, Shanti Stupa,
cafes, and Leh Bazaar, which embody the region's culture, make it a popular
                       tourist destination.
